Our favourite French catwoman returns with a new single coming off the forthcoming and second studio album ‘BatBox’, which will be released later this month.
The single is out now and features two remixes of this track: On one side “9/11″, a tense and broody club mix from Norwegian underground talent Black Labelle. On the other, JoJo de Freq, fellow DJ playmate and NagNagNag resident, adds a big, bouncing, acid-tinged bassline and Euro-synth stabs to her “Beauty is Terror” mix.
Listen below to ‘Kittin is High’ including the remixes as featured on the single release.
Rob Reger also designed a limited edition picture disc that you’ll find in your local record store. A “normal” vinyl edition is also available. And you can download the single at beatport or any other online record store.

A Bag of Tunes 3 sees the return of Musique Magnifique favourites Yuksek & Brodinski, Kissy Sell Out and SebastiAn. Also don’t ignore the Big Face single on Kitsuné ‘I Wanna Be A Style Crusader’, it’s class. We highly recommend the Yuksek & Brodinski mix of Bitchee Bitchee Ya Ya Ya’s ‘Fuck Friend’, apart from the track what a brilliant band name! Check out the pick of the moment below. Enjoy.
Who said Holland were behind on the indie/dance front? Dutch duo Blokgolf (Aux of MasssiveMusic and Houston of MeloManics) are quickly making a name for themselves with their remixes of Comtron, MeloManics, Matik, Hasselhoff and Krause. While they also did a rework of MC Miker & DJ Sven’s ‘Holiday Rap’. The Amsterdam based duo are currently working on their debut album and the remix of Ravage! Ravage!’s ‘I Want You To Want Me’.
Apart from all the producing activities they still find time to DJ now and then. Catch Blokgolf DJing @ Club 8 (Amsterdam) on the 1st of February.
Kissy Sell Out was one of the most sought after remixers of 2007 and rightly so. Over the last two years he transformed tracks of Gwen Stefani, All Saints, Mark Ronson, Sugababes, Loose Cannons, Dragonette, Black Ghosts, Groove Armada, Remi Nicole and even The Libertines into filthy electro bangers! He has just released his four track EP called ‘Get Busy Tropicana’, this EP was limited distributed so all proceeds are able to go straight to the British Association for Adopting and Fostering. Very noble Kissy! Buy this EP at your local record shop!

Fucking mindblowing remix of Willy Wartaal’s latest project ‘Aka The Junkies’ by the Dutch Electrofunk hero Seymour Bits (aka Bastian aka Bas Bron). Visit his MySpace and official site.
We are big Metal On Metal fans, the Lithuanian trio rarely disappoint on remix duty and this mix of Bloc Party’s ‘Flux’ is no exception. Just like you’d expect: ‘electrometal‘! Pay a visit to their MySpace and listen to more of their mad stuff!
Bleepy electro mix by The Whip. Pay an online visit to The Whip here or better come to Paradiso (Amsterdam) next thursday (Jan 10th), where they will be joined by WhoMadeWho and Shameboy for a fantastic night of electro/indiedance!
Steed Lord are M.E.G.A., Kali, Demo & Banana$, four hip musicians from Iceland. Steed Lord brings us cool synth driven crunky disco/electro house in their whole own ‘neon’ tradition. Although the foursome are from Iceland and are dropping phat tunes since 2006 they are still hot as fuck as we speak….for the people who haven’t discovered them listen up…erm..below!
A bag of fresh tunes. Nine new dancefloor minded tunes and one chill-out tune for the afterhours! The music will be online for 14 days so enjoy while you can! All listed music is ready for purchase at beatport, juno and amazon.
Monday January 7th will see the release of another Modular single. This times it’s Muscles’ ‘Sweaty’, a dancefloor hit taken off the Muscles’ album “Guns Babes Lemonade”. ‘Sweaty’ is a bonanza of funky basslines and 80’s synths, this tune really lives up to it’s name and will get you sweaty in no time!
The 12″ features remixes by Juan MacLean and Shazam. The former is a nice tech-house re-work but the latter proves to be the best of the pack. The Australian Shazam does things a tad slower than MacLean’s ‘techy’ version but it’s so incredibly funky, we love it!
You can order the digital release from the UK iTunes store and the physical release on pre-order at HMV or Juno.
